Hyderabad car dealership detained in Goa for bank fraud

HYDERABAD: The owner of Talwar Cars Private Limited in Banjara Hills was apprehended in a villa in Goa by the police of the central police station in Hyderabad for allegedly deceiving a bank to the tune of Rs 95 lakh under the pretext of delivering a new luxury car.

The accused, Saket Talwar, 41, was arrested on Sunday following a complaint from the managing director of Canara Bank, a branch of Sultan Bazaar.

“A case was filed against Saket Talwar of Talwar Cars Pvt Ltd and others after it was discovered that they had obtained a bank loan of Rs 95 lakh under the pretext of delivering a new car and embezzled the amount. Talwar has deceived several banks and other financial institutions by providing fabricated false invoices, insurance certificates, creating false temporary registrations and false chassis numbers, ”police said.

“There are eight cases registered against him and his company M / s. Talwar Cars Pvt. Ltd, Banjara Hills, including two cases in CCS, three cases in Banjara Hills, one case in Panjagutta, one case in Jubilee Hills and one case in Miyapur, Cyberabad, ”police said.

On Sunday, a team from CCS, Hyderabad, apprehended Talwar from a villa in Arambol Beach, Goa, and took him to Hyderabad. He was then brought to court here for pre-trial detention.
